В Узбекистане планируют удвоить добычу урана к 2030 году

Узбекистан планирует нарастить добычу и переработку урана к 2030 году в два раза – до более чем 7 тыс. тонн в год. С презентацией проектов по расширению добычи урана ознакомился президент страны Шавкат Мирзиёев, сообщает «Интерфакс-Азербайджан» со ссылкой на пресс-службу главы государства.

«Ответственные руководители доложили президенту о ходе реализации принятого им в июле 2022 года постановления, предусматривающего удвоение объемов добычи и переработки урана на государственном предприятии “Навоийуран” до 7,1 тысячи тонн к 2030 году», – говорится в сообщении.

По данным пресс-службы, Мирзиёеву представлена информация о проектах, реализуемых в этой сфере совместно с французской компанией Orano Mining.

“Президент дал указания по ускорению проектов кооперации по повышению эффективности добычи и переработки урана, разведке новых месторождений урана в рамках этого сотрудничества”, – отмечается в сообщении.

В мае минувшего года президент Узбекистана в ходе презентацией проектов, направленных на дальнейшее развитие геологической отрасли, поставил задачу разработать отдельную программу геологоразведочных работ, в которой будет предусмотрено увеличение запасов урана за счет освоения восьми новых месторождений и 18 перспективных участков.

По данным Госкомитета по геологии и минеральным ресурсам республики, основу урановой минерально-сырьевой базы страны составляют 27 месторождений в Кызылкумском регионе, прогнозные запасы оцениваются примерно в 55 тыс. тонн.

Узбекистан занимает 7-е место в мире по запасам урана и 5-е место – по объемам его добычи.
