The shares of the NAO "International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects" have been returned to state ownership. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the government, reports Primeminister.kz.

"To accept the proposal of the association of legal entities "Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan" on the transfer to republican ownership of 50 (fifty) percent + 1 share of the total package of shares of the non-profit joint stock company "International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects" under the donation agreement", – it is noted in the text of the resolution.

The government recalled that the center was established in April 2018 in order to promote green technologies and support business through the introduction of the principles of the best available technologies, which "are aimed at improving the competitiveness of the economy, the quality of life of the population and reducing the negative impact on the environment."

In December 2018, 50 percent + 1 share was transferred to the Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan by direct targeted sale.

"Thus, 100 percent of the stake in the NAO "International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects" will be owned by the state under the management of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources," the government concluded.

The International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (IGTIC) was established in April 2018 on the basis of the infrastructure and heritage of the Astana EXPO – 2017 exhibition.

Earlier it was reported that Aliya Nazarbayeva resigned as head of the Presidium of the Association of Environmental Organizations.
