Президент Киргизии С. Жапаров предложил странам и международным финансовым организациям списать стране долги и начать строить в республике объекты зеленой энергетики в обмен на списание внешнего долга. Об этом пишет издание ИА Neftegaz.RU.
Страны и финансовые институты, должниками которого является Кыргызстан, могли бы принять участие в строительстве зеленых энергетических объектов и ГЭС в стране.
На данный момент внешний долг Киргизии превышает 4,3 млрд долл. США. Основными кредиторами являются: китайский Эксимбанк, Азиатский банк развития, Международный валютный фонд (МВФ) и Международная ассоциация развития.
Киргизия обладает большим гидроэнергетическим потенциалом, но в настоящее время испытывает нехватку электроэнергии, которую она периодически вынуждена закупать в соседних республиках.
В республике уже идет реализация нескольких проектов ГЭС. Также в связи с дефицитом электричества власти Киргизии намерены построить 2 солнечные электростанции (СЭС) суммарной мощностью 1,5 тыс. МВт.
