«Катко» получило новую лицензию на добычу урана

Казахстанско-французское совместное предприятие «Катко» объявило о получении лицензии от Министерства энергетики Республики Казахстан на новый подучасток Южный Торткудук месторождения Моинкум. Ожидается, что Южный Торткудук обеспечит компании производство в последующие 15 лет, пишет издание «SK News».

Подучасток Южный Торткудук с оценочными запасами 46000 тонн урана был разработан геологами “Катко”. Он находится на территории месторождения Мойынкум, где компания ведет отработку двух других участков – Торткудук и Южный Моинкум с суммарным объемом производства более 40000 тонн урана в период с 2006 по 2021 годы.

Добыча урана на новом подучастке будет проводиться на основе многолетнего опыта “Катко” в сфере разработки урановых месторождений методом подземного скважинного выщелачивания.

Инфраструктура на Южном Торткудуке будет выстроена в соответствии с лучшими международными практиками в области охраны окружающей среды и бережливого производства.

Учитывая объем работ, необходимый для ввода нового подучастка в эксплуатацию, «Катко» ожидает снижение общего объема производства приблизительно на 65% от номинальной мощности (около 2600 тонн урана в год) в последующие 2 года с возвратом к уровню производства в 4000 тонн урана в год не раньше 2026 года.

Разработка подучастка Южный Торткудук является частью долгосрочного сотрудничества в сфере добычи урана, подписанного акционерами «Катко» – Orano и АО “НАК “Казатомпром” – в 2017 году.

“Мы рады приступить к строительным работам на Южном Торткудуке. Это очень важный момент в истории КАТКО, которое отпраздновало свое 25-летие в 2021 году.
