Компания SolarisFloat разработала необычную плавучую солнечную электростанцию, сообщает портал Хайтек. Она представляет собой искусственный «остров», сформированный из 180 панелей с фотоэлементами, которые изменяют свое положение вслед за движениями Солнца.
Система PROTEVS сформирована из двухсторонних солнечных панелей, которые могут вращаться вокруг двух осей. Движение обеспечивается при помощи электрических двигателей, которые потребляют не более 0,5% всей вырабатываемой энергии. По сообщениям компании пиковая мощность одной такой установки составляет 73 кВт. Это на 40% больше, чем у аналогичной стационарной системы.
Диаметр «солнечного острова» составляет 38 м, а его общая площадь – 1444 м². В компании отмечают, что конструкция электростанции модульная. Это значит, что все элементы можно масштабировать под конкретный проект, а вышедшие из строя панели легко заменять.
Переход на зеленую энергетику требует больших площадей. Например, исследователи из Лейденского университета в Нидерландах рассчитали, что солнечная электростанция занимает в 40–50 раз больше места чем угольная, и в 90–100 раз больше – чем газовая.
В этих условиях использование водных пространств может создать преимущество, отмечают в SolarisFloat. Представители компании также считают, что установка таких электростанций благотворно скажется на микроклимате озер.
Во-первых, тени от конструкции приводят к снижению температуры на поверхности и 60-процентному сокращению испарения воды. А, во-вторых, сокращение солнечного света замедлит рост водорослей и размножения микроорганизмов. Это поможет улучшить качество воды, добавляют разработчики.
