Создана система для установки солнечных батарей между рельсами

Стартап разработал механическую систему для установки съемных солнечных панелей вдоль железнодорожных путей. О технологии сообщает новостное агентство «SWI swissinfo.ch», – пишет портал «Хайтек».

Компания Sun-Ways из Швейцарии предлагает использовать пространство между рельсами для установки солнечных батарей. Элементы стандартного размера, установленные между железнодорожными путями, не мешают нормальному движению поездов. Инженеры считают, что таки образом можно модернизировать до половины всех железных дорог в мире.

Компания использует солнечные панели, предварительно собранные на заводе. Отдельные элементы длиной около метра размещаются между путями и крепятся к рельсам с помощью поршневого механизма. Установка осуществляется специальным механически поездом. По мере движения он укладывает фотогальванические панели вдоль путей «как разматывающийся ковер».

Хотя другие компании уже тестируют возможности использования пространства между рельсами для создания солнечных батарей, Sun-Ways первая представила и запатентовала технологию, с помощью которой можно легко снимать солнечные панели. Возможность временного демонтажа панелей необходима для технического обслуживания дорог. 

Компания запустит первый тестовый участок на сети железных дорог общего пользования возле вокзала Бюттс в Западной Швейцарии. В дальнейшем инженеры планируют покрыть сетью своих солнечных батарей всю транспортную сеть страны и выйти за ее пределы.

Солнечные панели могут покрыть свыше 5 тыс. км железных дорог Швейцарии, исключая участки, расположенные в туннелях или подверженные слабому освещению. Это будет соответствовать солнечной батареи размером в 760 футбольных полей. Такая батарея, по оценке компании, будет генерировать около 1 ТВтч электроэнергии в год или около 2% всей энергии, потребляемой в стране.
