Acer BP and partners will evaluate the small discovery of oil and gas in the Norwegian Sea on the efficiency of production, reports IA Neftegaz.ru .
According to the report of the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) dated June 1, 2022, according to preliminary estimates, the recoverable reserves of the field amount to 0.5 – 1.5 million tons. The exploration well was drilled by the Maersk Invincible drilling rig at the Overley subsurface area in the North Sea. The drilling point is 10 km north of the Valhall field and 270 km southwest of the Liszt field. The depth of the sea is 69 m . The well was drilled to a depth of 806 m. The inflow of oil was found in the Nurland group in the deposits of the Pliocene Neogene period. The well was not subjected to reservoir testing, but extensive data collection and sampling was carried out. Aker BP is the license operator with a 55% stake, DNO Norge – 25%, Petoro - 20%.
