Malaysian investors plan to create a liquefied natural gas processing complex in Mangystau region, Kazakh Invest reports.
The discussion of the stages of the project for the construction of a gas processing complex in the west of Kazakhstan took place during a meeting of JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST with the management of Markmore Energy (Labuan) Limited and LLP CaspiOilGas.
Chairman and main shareholder of the company "Markmore Energy (Labuan) Limited" Tan Sri Halim Saad told about the plans for the development of the enterprise on the territory of one of the large deposits of the Mangystau region. The total amount of investments in the project is 485 million US dollars, of which about 285 million US dollars are provided for the construction of a gas processing plant.
It is noted that during the visit of Malaysian investors, a number of meetings were organized with Akim of Mangystau region Nurlan Nogaev and the leadership of sectoral ministries.
