Representatives of Kazakhstan and India during the negotiations outlined the main areas of mutual interests in trade, reports press service of the Prime Minister.
The 14th meeting of the Kazakh-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Industrial and Cultural Cooperation was held in New Delhi (India).
The Kazakh delegation was headed by the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov. India was represented by Hardeep Singh Puri, who holds the posts of Minister of Oil and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs in his country.
The Kazakh side expressed its readiness to increase the volume of supplies of Indian sugar to the country. Also, the Indian side was offered to consider investments in the processing of Kazakh agricultural products.
The Indian side confirmed the interest of its companies in buying Kazakh oil under long-term contracts. At the same time, Indian oil and gas companies are not averse to investing directly in oil production on the territory of Kazakhstan.
The main goods of Kazakhstan's exports to India at the moment are crude oil, silver, hydrogen, inert gases, asbestos, ferroalloys, titanium and cadmium products.
