50 million tenge were allocated for the feasibility study for the construction of a water pipeline from the Aktobe region to the neighboring region, where there is a shortage of life-giving moisture. But while oil is being produced in Kokjid, reports agroqogam.kz.
5 companies are engaged in this - Kazakhoil Aktobe, Urikhtau Operating, Ada Oil, JSC KMK Munai and SNPS-Aktobemunaigas, which have dozens of wells at the field. The prosecutor's office and the Department of Ecology have been talking about the fact that mining in the sands of Kokzhide should be stopped since last year, but the issue has not been resolved.
Once again, deputies of the regional maslikhat spoke about this at a meeting of the permanent commission for the development of the region, where they discussed issues of water supply. An experienced hydrogeologist, general director of Akpan LLP Azamat Dushekenov was invited to the meeting. In Soviet times, for many years he led a hydrogeological expedition.
“In 1983, for the first time, we approved the reserves of Kokzhide in Moscow, then we defended large deposits only there, - said Azamat Dushekenov. - The groundwater reserves of the deposit amounted to 195 thousand cubic meters per day. Then no work was carried out within the sands of Kokzhide. The only oil producing organization at that time started its work at the Zhanazhol field. As time passed after independence, when permits were often issued unreasonably, the Kokzhide field turned out to be more than one,
As it turned out, the need to re-evaluate the reserves of Kokzhide arose due to problems with the water supply of Atyrau and Aktau. To provide them with drinking water, a water pipeline from the Aktobe region can be brought to Kulsary, where a distribution unit will be installed, from where water will go to Atyrau and Aktau. Kulsary is located about 300 kilometers from Kokzhide. Since the water in the sands of Kokzhide is ultra-fresh - its mineralization is only 0.2 grams per liter, in the Atyrau region it is proposed to dilute it with brackish groundwater, the mineralization of which is 2-3 grams per liter.
“Aktobe residents should not worry about water. In December, we protected groundwater reserves at the Moiseevskoye field, which produces 45,000 cubic meters of water per day, and at Sarybulakskoye, where the reserves are 25,000 cubic meters per day. They will provide Aktobe with water for 30 years,” - said Azamat Dushekenov. -
