The Ministry of Energy commented on forecasts of a jump in oil prices. On the sidelines of the Majilis, Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov answered journalists' questions about how the jump in oil prices, which international experts already predict, will affect Kazakhstan, reports inbusiness.kz.
“Today, according to the plan of this year, Kazakhstan has 85.7 million tons. We consume 18 million domestically. A huge mass is exported. We don't consume so much in Kazakhstan, we don't need so much. What's wrong with selling more expensive?”, – he asked. The Minister also commented on the possibility of an increase in oil prices to $ 200 per barrel.
“Everything depends on the geopolitical situation. Quite possibly 200. At one time, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak even said that he could achieve 350. There are many scenarios”, – Akchulakov summed up.
